Welcome to Bikram Yoga Varna, the one and only Bikram Yoga studio in Bulgaria! We teach the authentic & original hot yoga – a method of healing through physical and mental exercise. Bikram Yoga is a Hatha yoga series of 26 asanas and 2 breathing excersices practiced in a heated room. The system was developed by Bikram Choudhury and has for more than 40 years helped people all over the world to strengthen and heal both body and mind. It is a powerful and complete system that intelligently and systematically works through your whole body. It is suitable for all ages and levels of ability. Together we hope to create an environment where every person can realize his or her full potential.

Our lineage
Bishnu Charan Ghosh is one of the greatest and most influential yoga masters of the past century. Many of its philosophies are traditional, drawn from texts and schools of thought that have been around for hundreds or thousands of years.He was the first to scientifically document Yoga’s ability to cure chronic physical ailments and heal the body, using simple therapeutic exercises to mobilize and strengthen every area, including the internal organs and systems. It uses postures (asanas) to bring grace and control to the body and stillness to the mind. It uses breathing exercises (pranayama) and meditation to reduce stress and anxiety and begin on the path of spirituality.
In India, yoga has always been individual and prescriptive. Each person has different needs and limitations, and the yoga teacher’s job is to prescribe to each student the appropriate exercises, asanas and meditations to heal their ailments and develop their physical, mental and spiritual potential.When it came to the west with Bikram Choudhury in the 1970s, this yoga took on a slightly different form. It became asana based (instead of therapeutic exercises), physically challenging and sequenced. Bikram’s Beginning Class ‘prescribes’ the same 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises in order to reach groups of people with any variety of physical problems.The series is designed to be doable by beginners and beneficial for all.It is a journey, not a destination.
